With the help of sponsors, Hugs for Kids is able to provide education to those without. Enabling Dominican and Haitian children to achieve a better future.

Hugs for Kids School, Playa Cangrejo

Recognizing that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty, Servant’s Heart created Hugs for Kids: Child Sponsorship, whose mission is to provide education to Dominican and Haitian children. Operating a growing sponsor school in Cangrejo, a Haitian and Dominican village, Hugs for Kids currently meets the learning needs of 150 children.

Working side by side with Dominican and Haitian educators, Hugs for Kids goal is to transform communities with education.

Sponsorship includes:

• Books and learning materials for the child
• School uniforms (for many these will be the best clothes they own)
• A nutritional program
• Bi-annual medical check-up
• Hiring certified teachers
• Maintaining the school building
• Providing a quality education

All of this can be provided for just $39.00 CDN a month or a flat fee of just $450.00 for a year. A Canadian income tax receipt will be provided.
