About Us

Servant’s Heart Ministries is a charitable organization dedicated to caring for the poor of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The organization is a Canadian charity registered with Canada Revenue Agency and is based in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The base for the organization’s work in the field is in Sosua, Dominican Republic.

As Christians, we feel it is incumbent upon us to serve the needs of the disadvantaged people Christ puts before us. We accomplish this by working in three main areas:

• Danica’s Dream Medical Outreach – operating two permanent medical clinics and providing mobile medical assistance
• Hugs for Kids School Program – operating a sponsored child school and after school tutorial programs
• SHM Relief & Development – reconstructing homes and offering relief programs as needed

None of this would be possible without the help of Short Term Mission Teams that work together with us, to minister to the needs of the people of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Canadian missionaries Donna & Phil Williams

The organization is led by co-founders, Phil and Donna Williams. Their first personal contact with missions was in March 2005 when they were invited to take part in a one week trip to the Dominican Republic, their first trip outside of Canada. They were so moved by the experience that they were guided to start the ministry and moved to the DR six months later.
